It seems that in return for a doodle from I am contractually obliged to make the following offer:

"First 10 people to comment on this entry get a free doodle from me. But the catch is you gotta do this for 10 other people too. If you do this, you must post this in your journal and do 10 doodles for other people."

Fortunately I doubt very much that I will get any requests so I guess i've screwed the chain system.
